Important Dates Mon 9/28 - SEPT. SCHOLASTIC Due             - Hearing & Vision Screening Wed 9/30 - LATE START                   10:10 Fire Drill Wed 10/7 - LATE START                    Count Day Wed 10/14 LATE START Thur 10/15 - Half Day - Dismiss 12:24                       P/T Conferences Fri 10/16 - Half Day - Dismiss 12:24 Mon 10/19 - No School Wed 10/21 - LATE START Fri 10/23 - Picture Retakes Fri 10/30 - Halloween Celebration	Daily Folder - Continue to check daily Lunch - Children are doing well with their lunch routine and continue to send with easy to open lunches. Meal Magic - You can preorder lunches.  Right now school breakfast and lunches are free to all students. Water Bottle and Afternoon snack - I still have some students that do not bring water bottles every day.  I do not have any alternatives as the drinking fountains are closed.  It is very important.
Daily 5 endurance We are continuing to work on Read To Self.  Children are being encouraged to find a quiet spot and look at books for 5 minutes independently.  This week we will increase our time to ten minutes. NWEA We are beginning our NWEA Testing and will be testing on Tues and Wed. 9/29-30 Parent Teacher Conferences The district holds conferences in the month of October and November.  Usually kindergarten conferences are scheduled in November so that there is time for children to adjust to school and for teachers to collect data on their progress.  These will be held virtually in a Google Meet. October 15th - afternoon or evening OR November 4-6 evenings	Snacks - We have 17 children in our class right now.  Please make sure your child brings enough snacks on their leader day. The snacks must be store bought and individually wrapped.   Scholastic Orders - I will be placing our book order on Monday September 28th.  You can find many wonderful books at great prices in the online catalogs. https://clubs.scholastic.com/home Class Code is -  P6RG9 Library Library books will go home next week on Thursday.   Be on the lookout in child’s backpacks.

This Week's Schedule: 9/14-18

Your child will need their folder, backpack, water bottle, a snack and headphones
(if you have not sent them yet) on Monday or Tuesday.
        Monday 9/14  - Student's last names A-K Half Day
        Tuesday 9/15 - Student's last name L-Z Half Day
Your child will also need to bring a lunch or purchase a lunch for Wednesday or Thursday.
        Wednesday 9/16 - Student's last name - A-K Full Day
        Thursday 9/17 - Student's last name - L-Z Full Day

Welcome to our classroom blog.  
This will be home to my weekly newsletter. 
 New information will come out on Sunday evenings so be sure 
and check after reading Mr Hubble's weekly School-wide Blog Post.
You will also want to become familiar with our Google Classroom.

 This is something new to the Kindergarten Team so you will be learning how to use it along with us so please bear with me if we hit a few bumps along the way.
This year you will need to know your child's id number.  It is used for logging into computer activities and it is the beginning of your student's school email.  
This number will be added to your child's homework folder cover this week so it will be easy to find.
