Early Spring Break   Please let me know if your family is leaving early for Spring Break and will not be here for the full week.



Show and Tell the rest of March/April


Estimation Jar 

Please have your child select items to place in the jar.  Select between 1-20 items.  Please write how many are in the jar on a slip of paper and put in the bag.


Students should not bring a traditional show and tell item, just the estimation jar.


Library Books  


Please make sure the children return their library books on Thursdays.  



Positivity Project:This week will be  Humor:  You like to laugh and bring smiles to other people.

In School this week:

Phonics - Letter R

Reading - Compare/Contrast  We are learning how to compare and contrast in text as we read.  We are listening for signal words like “too” and “but” to help us compare and contrast.  


Writing -Informational writing

We will begin writing about a favorite animal. 


Spelling Words: lab, bin, job, jam, Jim, Jen


Sight Words:  a, am, eat, I, who, here, our, the, who, you


Science -” How do plants and trees grow?” on Mystery Science online.  We are watching our beans sprout in our window greenhouses. 


Math - Addition and Subtraction within 10


REMINDERS:

Computers to school each day: fully charged and leave charge cord at home.


Labeled water bottle daily


Check folder daily.


Backpacks

Should be checked and cleaned out daily

No toys or extra items in backpacks.

Please no little gifts for other students.

Science - “Plant and Animal Secrets” on Mystery Science online.  We will be planting bean seeds and will be waiting 5-7 days till they sprout.
