Mrs. Confer’s Lincoln Kindergarten Class          November 12, 2020
Important Dates Nov. 17 - 50th day of school Nov  18  & 25 -Late Start Nov  20th  - Half Days Nov 24 - Report Cards come home Nov 25-27 - Thanksgiving Break   Stuff A Truck - We will be collecting food as a school to donate to a local food pantry.  Please send non-perishables with your child to add to our collection.     Virtual School Survey - If you are interested in switching to virtual classes for the next quarter, please fill out Mr Hubble’s survey today.  The next quarter is from Nov 23-March 5.	Daily Folder - Continue to check daily Cold Weather Wear - Please mark all cold weather items with your children's name.  It is the season of lost mittens, gloves and hats. If your child wears boots, please send shoes in their backpack.  You can consider having a pair that they leave here in their locker. Water bottles - Please send your child with a water bottle to school.  Snacks - We have 17 children in our class right now.  Please make sure your child brings enough snacks on their leader day.  Library - Library books go home every Thursday.  Please help your child to remember to return the book to school.
Homework Please help your child complete their monthly homework calendar and maybe post on the fridge where the kids can see it.  Family Timeline project  is due Nov 13th Online -Today , I am sending  home the login for Lexia Core 5 through Clever portal.  I know several people had trouble logging in.  If you go to the Lincoln symbaloo page, you can click the clever link and your child’s password should work. https://sjschools.follettdestiny.com/common/servlet/presenthomeform.do?l2m=Home&tm=Home Make sure that you have been able to access my weekly Blog and check the Google Classroom.	Academics In Writing, we are continuing “Pattern Books”.  Please ask your child to read their book to you.  We will read easy books that have repeated language and look for how the author uses the words in a repeated way on each page.  Please ask your child to read their books to you. We will work on this for several weeks. In Math, we are identifying 2=D and 3=D shapes.  Help your child to find objects in your home that are in the shape of  spheres, cylinders,cubes and cones.  In our Journals, we are working on creating sentences.  Also counting words in our sentences and using spaces. In Social Studies, we are  learning about the past and present.
